Oct 2 - Tarot Characters: The Wheel of Fortune

🃏 The Wheel of Fortune is the agent of chaos, turning unendingly from success to failure and every point in between. It can't be reasoned with, it can't be argued with, it doesn't have opinions. It simply turns, and everyone turns with it. Here are three characters who capture different sides of this card:

---

The Firefly Crew — “The Train Job”

They take what looks like a straightforward job: rob a train, hand over the goods, collect the money. But when they discover the cargo is desperately needed medicine, they can't bring themselves to deliver it to Niska. Returning it turns a simple job into a dangerous confrontation, and suddenly they're dealing with consequences they never expected.

Wheel of Fortune Vibes:

•  Circumstances change unexpectedly
• A simple job becomes something much bigger
• Sometimes you have to adapt when the wheel turns beneath you

---

New Directions (Thriller/Heads will Roll)

The football team is losing! There's only one slim chance, and just a few seconds to deliver it. But, fortunately, they're dressed as zombies! Which they promptly weaponise, freaking out the other team until they forget they're even playing. It's a win for Our Heroes, scraped from defeat!

Wheel of Fortune Vibes

Unexpected circumstances can completely change your fortunes

What looks like a disadvantage can suddenly become an advantage

Sometimes you just have to recognise an opportunity when the wheel turns

---

Fat Sam (Bugsy Malone)

Fat Sam's gang has deserted him, leaving him with no men and apparently no hope. Then Bugsy persuades a group of homeless men to join the fight, and suddenly Fat Sam has an army where moments before he had none.

Wheel of Fortune Vibes:

• Fortune can change when you least expect it
• Help can come from the most unlikely places
• Sometimes the wheel turns when you've run out of options

May 28 - Tarot Characters: The Wheel of Fortune (Pop Culture)

🎡 The Wheel of Fortune is change beyond our control - the sudden turn, the rise and fall, the reminder that life moves whether we’re ready or not. This card speaks to fate, timing, and the long arc of events that reshape us, often without asking permission. It’s not about what we choose, but about how the world shifts beneath our feet.

Here are three figures whose stories are shaped by the turning of the Wheel:

---

Sansa Stark (Game of Thrones)

Sansa begins her story at the top of the Wheel - sheltered, privileged, and certain of how her life will unfold. Then the Wheel turns. Power is stripped away, safety vanishes, and survival becomes her only option. Over time, fortune shifts again, lifting her into a position of hard-won authority shaped by everything she endured.

Wheel of Fortune Vibes:
• Reversal of fortune
• Power gained through survival
• The long turn of fate

---

Forrest Gump (Forrest Gump)

Forrest doesn’t try to steer his life - he moves with it. History swirls around him, chance placing him again and again at the centre of enormous events. His story captures the Wheel’s randomness: the strange truth that outcomes aren’t always tied to intention, intelligence, or effort.

Wheel of Fortune Vibes:
• Fate in motion
• Unpredictable outcomes
• Being carried by circumstance

---

Bobby Nash (9-1-1)

Bobby’s life is irrevocably altered by catastrophe - loss, survival, and a future he never intended to live. The Wheel turns without mercy, taking everything he knew and forcing him onto a new path. What follows isn’t redemption by design, but renewal through timing, consequence, and the slow rebuilding that comes after the fall.

Wheel of Fortune Vibes:
• Sudden collapse and renewal
• Fate-driven transformation
• Life reshaped by circumstance

---

🎠 The Wheel of Fortune asks: where is life turning for you - and how might you find your footing as the wheel continues to move?
