Oct 10 - full vs mini deck comparison

Tarot decks come in all shapes and sizes nowadays - massive, tiny, even round! You can often get the same deck in different sizes. For this specific comparison I've chosen the Supernatural deck, but there are plenty of other comparison.

The Hierophant Across Decks 🎴✨

This tradition is our mission

The Hierophant usually means tradition, structure and rules. He's the Way Things Are Done, the person who knows All The Rules and can tell you how things work - not cruelly, just because This Is How We Do It. Sometimes this is a good thing - the person who trains you in your new job, the desk worker who knows all the shortcuts in the paperwork. Sometimes it's someone stricter. But you can count on this person to teach you what you need to know. Across decks, this is shown in a few different ways.

---

1. Lieselle's Eternal Tarot — Traditional and intricate

Liselle's deck uses a black and white design to draw the eye to the details that matter. The artwork features a man in the traditional ecclesiastical outfit with an altar beneath him.

Hierophant Vibes:

• 🧪 Key themes: Tradition, ritual, authority, established wisdom
🎨 Emotional tone: Solemn, formal, contemplative
✨ Unique: The traditional ecclesiastical imagery puts the Hierophant firmly in his role as keeper of ritual and inherited knowledge.

---

2. Supernatural Tarot — Fandom deck

Billie, one of the Reapers the Winchesters meet during their adventures, believes strongly in rules and applying them fairly. She dislikes the Winchesters because their constant dying and resurrecting disrupts her work and confuses things behind the scenes of the afterlife.

Hierophant Vibes:

• 🧪 Key themes: Rules, order, fairness, consequences
🎨 Emotional tone: Stern, pragmatic, uncompromising
✨ Unique: Billie applies the Hierophant's love of structure to the rules of death itself - and the Winchesters are possibly the worst people in existence to ask to follow them.

---

3. Everyday Witch — Modern and bright

The Hierophant in this card is shown as a teacher leading a yoga or meditation class, guiding her students and helping them achieve their best. This is a side of the card that we don't always see.

Hierophant Vibes:

• 🧪 Key themes: Teaching, guidance, learning, self-improvement
🎨 Emotional tone: Calm, supportive, encouraging
✨ Unique: Instead of a stern religious authority, this Hierophant is a teacher helping others learn and grow, showing the nurturing side of tradition and shared knowledge.

---

Reflection:
Across decks, the Hierophant invites reflection on traditions, guidance, and communal wisdom. He's the keeper of institutional knowledge and understanding. Where in your life could you use someone who knows how things are done?

Jul 20 - King of Pentacles (Images)

King of Pentacles Across Decks 🎴✨

I'll be there for you

The King of Pentacles shows up, works hard and gets the job done. He's steady and reliable, not flashy. You can call him when you need help, and he'll help with exactly what you need - not talk you into some far-fetched revenge scheme. I'm looking at you, Knight of Swords.

---

1. Tarot for You and Me — Modern and inclusive

The Elder of Lanterns sits at his desk, signing paperwork. He knows what needs to be done; he's not flustered by his workload. He's ready to get it all done.

King of Pentacles Vibes:

• 🧪 Key themes: Responsibility, competence, leadership, practical wisdom
🎨 Emotional tone: Calm, capable, dependable
✨ Unique: By placing the King in an office rather than on a throne, the deck reminds us that real authority often comes from quietly getting things done.

---

2. Sugar Skull Tarot — Wild West adventures

The King of Pentacles sits his horse, watching as his herd is wrangled. He's built an empire through hard work and knowledge. Now he gets to enjoy it.

King of Pentacles Vibes:

• 🧪 Key themes: Stewardship, prosperity, patience, earned success
🎨 Emotional tone: Confident, grounded, accomplished
✨ Unique: Rather than focusing on wealth itself, this card celebrates the work and experience that created it.

---

3. Supernatural Tarot — Dark and thoughtful

Crowley, the King of the Crossroads in Supernatural, is a darker side of the card. He's certainly worked hard, and he has built an empire, but he's done it by exploiting people, taking advantage of them, and writing loopholes into his agreements. He's not the King we want to emulate.

King of Pentacles Vibes:

• 🧪 Key themes: Ambition, control, influence, the shadow of success
🎨 Emotional tone: Commanding, calculating, unsettling
✨ Unique: Crowley explores the King's shadow side, asking whether success is still worth celebrating if it comes at someone else's expense.

---

Reflection:
Across decks, the King of Pentacles reminds us that success isn't just about what we build, but how we build it. Honest work, careful stewardship, and integrity create a very different legacy from success won through manipulation. Which version of the King speaks to you today?
