Page of Wands Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

Tell everybody I'm on my way, and I'm loving every step I take

The Page of Wands is youthful joy and exuberance, the wonder of life and learning. It's creativity and openness, trying new things just for the experience. Across decks artists have shown this joy in different ways.

1. Transient Light — Minimalist beauty

The Transient Light uses symbols and images rather than people. The Apprentice of Wands shows a sheaf of wheat and a telescope surrounded by a flower chain - the Apprentice is looking beyond familiar surroundings to see new things.

Apprentice of Wands Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Curiosity, discovery, exploration
  • ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Wondering, hopeful, quietly excited
  • ✨ Unique: Looking beyond the familiar to discover what's out there

2. Mindscapes — Landscape beauty

Mindscapes' Court cards are uniquely from the point of view of the character. The Page of Branches is ready to launch from this treehouse into whatever comes next, enjoying the exploration.

Page of Branches Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Adventure, possibility, exploration
  • ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Excited, playful, adventurous
  • ✨ Unique: Seeing the world as somewhere to explore

3. Light Seers — Modern beauty

  • ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Joyful, exuberant, carefree

Four of Wands Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place.

The Four of Wands is tarot’s ultimate sigh of relief. After the careful planning of the Two and the hopeful waiting of the Three, this is the moment when we can finally pause, look around, and celebrate how far we’ve come.

Traditionally, this card shows a joyful homecoming beneath a decorated archway, but different decks remind us that celebration and belonging can take many forms..

1. Everyday Witch Tarot — Urban Joy & Chosen Family
This deck replaces the traditional figures with a group of friends gathered at a cafe. This isn’t a grand ceremony - it’s the everyday joy of finding your people and creating a place where you belong.

Four of Wands Vibes:
  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Chosen family, modern milestones, city sanctuary, shared joy.
  • ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Grounded, inclusive, deeply warm, and unapologetically festive.
  • ✨ Unique: Shifts the traditional "homecoming" from a grand, royal castle to an accessible, relatable urban setting.

2. The Light Seer's Tarot — Radiant Connection & Free Spirits
Chris-Anne’s version bursts with energy, showing friends dancing beneath a canopy supported by four flaming wands. Here, home is not a building - it’s the feeling of being surrounded by people who let you be yourself.

Four of Wands Vibes:
  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Community, freedom, celebration, belonging, shared joy
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Joyful, exuberant, warm, liberating
✨ Unique: By removing the idea of a physical home, this version shows that stability can come from the people who surround us. The “four walls” become the circle of people who make us feel safe.

3. Mindscapes Tarot — Atmospheric Harmony & Natural Sanctuary
John A. Rice removes people entirely and focuses on four fruiting orchard trees. The ladder and wheelbarrow show the care that created this abundance, but the moment itself is peaceful and still.

[Card Name] Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Peace, harmony, growth, appreciation, quiet achievement
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Serene, contemplative, content
✨ Unique: This version finds celebration in the landscape itself. The absence of people reminds us that milestones don't always need an audience - sometimes peace is the reward.

Reflection:

Across decks, the Four of Wands reminds us that joy can look very different. It might be laughing with friends, dancing under the stars, or enjoying a quiet moment surrounded by what you’ve built.

What does celebration look like for you?

Jun 29 - King of Wands (Images)

King of Wands Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you

The King of Wands is the hardest worker in the deck. He's dedicated to his tasks and knows how to keep going when necessary. The traditional deck shows this with his kingly posture and treasures, but some decks go a little different.

1. Arcanum Tarot — Detailed and serious

This most traditional of our Kings owes a lot to the RWS; he's red tinted, holds his wand and watches a salamander dart about nearby. He's thoughtful and serious, considering his next move carefully.

King of Wands Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Responsibility, mastery, long-term planning, grounded power
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Serious, thoughtful, steady
✨ Unique: This King’s strength comes from patience and control - he doesn’t rush decisions because he’s already thinking ten steps ahead.

2. Tarot for Me and You — Modern and inclusive

This King is a business person, signing checks and looking over paperwork. They're confident and at ease in their work; they know this is where they excel.

King of Wands Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Financial security, leadership, competence, stability
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Confident, calm, practical
✨ Unique: He represents success that is actively maintained - work isn’t just what he does, it’s what he’s built into a sustainable system.

3. Mindscapes Tarot — Arty and meditative

The Mindscapes Courts are from the point of view of the character. Here the King is looking out over a successful farm he's built up. His patient work has led  to a good life.

King of Wands Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Legacy, stewardship, growth, long-term reward
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Peaceful, reflective, accomplished
✨ Unique: Seen through his own perspective, this King isn’t chasing success anymore - he’s observing what his steady work has created.

Reflection:
Across decks, the King of Wands demonstrates how vision and authority inspire action. He knows what he wants and he works hard for it. What part of your life needs some hard work and attention right now?

May 6 - The Hanged Man (Images)

The Hanged Man Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view

The Hanged Man is about changing your perspective and taking the time to see things from a new angle. The original artwork was a reference to the Norse god Odin, and modern cards often use a similar image. This is a card that is often renamed or altered in decks.

1. The Unfolding Path — Modern and inclusive

This deck shows a gymnast hanging from a tire swing. The rope isn't tied off - she's trusting it to keep her up until she makes her breakthrough.

Hanged Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Surrender, trust, letting go of control, waiting for clarity
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Tense but hopeful, suspended, on the edge of breakthrough
✨ Unique: The untied rope is doing a lot of work here - this isn’t enforced stillness, it’s chosen. She could drop at any time, but she doesn’t. It highlights that this pause is an act of trust, not helplessness.

2. Mindscapes Tarot — Landscapes free of people

A polar bear plods along a patch of ice, pausing to look up and see the Northern Lights dancing far above. It doesn't change his world, but it's a moment of wonder.

The Hanged One Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Perspective shift, quiet realisation, moments of awe, seeing beyond the immediate
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Calm, contemplative, slightly surreal
✨ Unique: There’s no literal inversion, but the perspective still shifts - the bear looks up, breaking out of its grounded, survival-focused world. It reframes the card as a mental or emotional shift rather than a physical one.

3. Kids' Tarot — Bright and cheerful

The child in this card is hanging from a tree, enjoying himself. There's no worry about the future; he's completely in the moment.

The Upside Down Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Presence, play, curiosity, embracing a different view
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Light, carefree, joyful
✨ Unique: This strips away the weight the card often carries. There’s no sacrifice here - just the natural way children explore the world. It suggests that sometimes a new perspective isn’t hard-won; it’s something we’ve forgotten how to access.

Reflection:
Across decks, the Hanged Man asks us to pause and see things in a new light - through trust, through wonder, or through play. Which version is shining for you today?

Knight of Pentacles (Images)

Knight of Pentacles Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

Steady as the beating drum.

The knights of the deck are messengers and warriors, but the Knight of Pentacles keeps his battles close to home. He works hard, prepared for slow gains and a long time before he sees progress. Across decks, artists have expressed this in different ways.

1. Mindscapes — Artistic view

A small room opening onto a farmyard. A fork stands against a wall, ready for work. It's a simple life, but a good one.

Knight of Pentacles Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Hard work, simple life
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Calm, toned down
✨ Unique: All the court cards in this deck are from the point of view of the character

2. Everyday Witch Tarot — Magic in sensible shoes

This is spellwork that doesn’t announce itself. No dramatic lightning, no glowing circles - just hands that know what needs doing and do it anyway. Cleaning, tending, maintaining, repeating. It’s not less magical for being ordinary. If anything, that’s the whole point.

Knight of Pentacles Vibes:

๐Ÿงช Key themes: discipline, upkeep, practical magic, consistency
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: warm, grounded, quietly reassuring
✨ Unique: magic isn’t separate from life here - it is the routine

3. Tarot of the Divine — Myth, but make it persistence

This knight isn’t here for glory. They’re here because someone has to stay when things get long and difficult and unromantic. The mythic framing turns endurance into something sacred: not heroic in the loud sense, but heroic in the “still here, still going” sense.

Knight of Pentacles Vibes:

๐Ÿงช Key themes: duty, loyalty, endurance, long-haul commitment
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: serious, grounded, quietly powerful
✨ Unique: folklore lens turns persistence into a kind of moral backbone

Reflection:

Across all three, the Knight of Pentacles refuses to be rushed into excitement. Whether it’s lived-in routine, quiet magical maintenance, or mythic endurance, the message stays the same: slow doesn’t mean small - it means sustainable.

So which version feels like the kind of “keep going” you’d actually trust on a bad day?

Mar 4 - Knight of Wands

Knight of Wands Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

the rest is still unwritten

The Knight of Wands is action and energy. He isn't planning or looking ahead; he's in motion, doing the thing. He is the most active card in the most active suit. When you pull this one, things are happening.

1. Mindscapes Tarot — Looking outward

This Knight is preparing for a day of hiking, looking out of his cosy tent at the fire and campsite. He's already out in the wilderness; all that remains is to enjoy it.

    ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Enjoyment, contentment

2. Universal Goddess — Soaring high

This Knight is a Valkyrie, flying on a horse over a rainbow. She's literally in motion, ready for the next battle to collect the souls of the fallen.

๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: She's on the move, not stopping to plan
✨ Unique: Valkyries are joyful, bringing fallen warriors to their reward.

3. Kids' Tarot — Ready to leap

This Knight crouches in a strange landscape, ready for action. He's vigilant and prepared to leap at any moment, as soon as he's needed.

Knight of Wands Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: ready for action
    ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: prepared, watchful
✨ Unique: This deck is designed to help children explain their emotions.

Reflection:
The Knight of Wands is the court member who goes boldly, who is ready for action at any time. Across these decks, the Knight goes boldly, ready for action - but notice how each deck frames that energy differently. That’s the beauty: your Knight can show up in ways that fit your reading and your story. Where do you need the Knight's energy today?

Feb 6 - Page of Swords (Images)

Page of Swords Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

I want to know - can you show me?

The Page of Swords is anyone who's trying to learn something new - mostly commonly a young person, but the Page can refer to the spirit as well as the body. This person can be a bit too sure of themselves, irritating other people by insisting on sharing their knowledge. But they can also be very helpful.

1. Mindscapes Tarot — Landscapes of the mind

All the court cards in this deck are from the point of view of the character. Here we can see the Page out exploring in a hot air balloon, learning by doing.
Page of Swords Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: He's engaged in the task, getting his hands dirty, not just studying academically.
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Involved, engaged, interested.
✨ Unique: This is the only deck I've seen that uses this point of view in its courts.

2. Universal Celtic Tarot — Magical, symbolic

The Universal Celtic deck uses rich colour and symbolism in its cards. This Page is eager to put his lessons to work and start hunting with his bird.
Page of Sword Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Practise, work, partnership
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Practical, hard working
✨ Unique: Birds are often used to symbolise swords

3. Cosy Witch Tarot — Friendly, gentle, affirming

The Cosy Witch is a friendly deck. This Page is standing at a Little Free Library, deciding what she wants to study next.

    ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Open, options
✨ Unique: The mantra on this card reads 'curiosity is a type of magic'

Reflection:
Across these cards, the Pages learn by study or by doing. Whatever way you learn is valid; whether it's out in the field doing the thing, or reading studies and lessons at home, it's all learning.
