Aug 21 - Tarot Characters: Two of Pentacles

🃏 The Fool is the beginning of the journey - curious, chaotic, open-hearted, and unafraid of missteps. They leap first and learn later. Sometimes underestimated, their willingness to explore the unknown often leads to surprising insight and growth. Here are three characters who capture different sides of this card:

---

Daniel/Euphegenia (Mrs Doubtfire)

Dressing up as an elderly Scottish housekeeper is already a lot to keep track of, but when Daniel is invited to an important dinner on the same night as Euphegenia is, he decides the best solution is to run back and forth between them, changing in and out of costume each time. He's literally trying to balance both obligations, and sadly circumstances force him to fail at both, but for a little while he's the personification of this card. (See also; most of Frasier, 27 Dresses, most romcoms.)

Two of Pentacles Vibes:

• Keeps multiple obligations in motion
• Adapts when circumstances change
• Somehow keeps going when everything gets complicated

---

Leslie Knope (Parks & Rec)

Leslie is a great example of this card because, unlike a lot of people, she thrives on being busy. If Leslie is only juggling four coworkers, three plans and one unreasonable order from her superiors, she'll go looking for extra plates to start spinning. She loves being busy and helping people out.

Two of Pentacles Vibes:

• Thrives on having several things on the go
• Finds ways to make competing priorities work
• Turns chaos into a schedule

---

Kermit (The Muppet Show)

We all know the scene. Kermit stands backstage. Scooter tells him they're running late. Miss Piggy wants another song. Gonzo has blown up Lew Zealand. Fozzie has a new joke routine. In their box, Statler and Waldorf are booing...and Kermit keeps it all going. He rearranges acts, stays in control and keeps the Muppets balanced. The Muppets don't become less chaotic; Kermit simply finds a way to keep the chaos moving in the right direction.

Two of Pentacles Vibes:

• Keeps competing personalities in balance
• Adapts without losing sight of the goal
• Makes chaos look almost manageable

Two of Pentacles Across Decks 🎴✨

A tightrope walker in a three ring circus

The Two of Pentacles speaks to balance and care, to making sure that you're not overdoing any part of life. It often shows up when you're leaning too heavily to one side or the other as a reminder to get back to balance. In many decks this is literally a figure balancing two large coins, often a jester, but some cards change the art to show other aspects of the card.
