Mar 31 - ๐ŸŒ€ The Doctor: Fool or Magician?

(Or both - with a sonic screwdriver.)

Today’s pop culture tarot spotlight lands on the ever-regenerating, emotionally complex, and chaotically brilliant Doctor from Doctor Who. But which Major Arcana card fits best?

Let’s time-travel through the options.

๐Ÿงณ The Fool Case

The Doctor is The Fool - especially in those first post-regeneration moments.

  • They leap into the unknown with wild curiosity.

  • They trust instinct over plan.

  • They carry wisdom in whimsy, and hope in chaos.

  • They walk into danger with a grin and a jelly baby.

The Fool is the soul of beginnings, of trust, of sacred unpredictability. And The Doctor? They’re the cosmic wanderer, always stepping off the edge of the known.

“The Fool says, ‘Let’s go.’ The Doctor says, ‘Allons-y.’”

๐Ÿช„ The Magician Case

But don’t be fooled - The Doctor is also The Magician.

  • They wield tools (sonic, psychic, symbolic) with mastery.

  • They manipulate time, space, and emotion with flair.

  • They’re a master of improvisation, persuasion, and transformation.

  • They turn raw potential into miraculous outcomes - often with a speech and a screwdriver.

The Magician is all about agency, charisma, and bending reality to will. And The Doctor? They do it with style, hearts, and a coat that shouldn’t work but does.

“The Magician says, ‘I know how.’ The Doctor says, ‘Watch me.’”

๐Ÿƒ So… Which One Are They?

Honestly? The Doctor is the Fool becoming the Magician. Every regeneration starts with chaos and ends with mastery. They’re the journey and the destination. The leap and the landing.

The Doctor is tarot’s reminder that wisdom begins with wonder - and that magic is just science with heart.

✨ Final Thought

If you ever draw The Fool and feel uncertain… ask yourself: Is this Doctor energy? Am I stepping into something wild, brave, and bigger than I know?

And if The Magician follows? You’re not lost. You’re regenerating.

Mar 29 - Page of Pentacles (Images)

Page of Pentacles Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

Nobody learns without gettin' it wrong

The Page of Pentacles is one of the students of the deck. Pentacles are willing to put in the time and learn from their mistakes. Decks show this dedication in different ways.

1. RWS — Classic and well known

In the RWS deck, the Page is entranced by his Pentacle, learning every detail of it. He's utterly absorbed by this task.

Page of Pentacles Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Absorption, concentration
    ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Determination
✨ Unique: The RWS is the basis for many modern decks.

2. Witch's Cat — Deeper than it looks

This Page is learning by doing, practising with his cauldron. He has a recipe, but he'll learn more by experimenting with his herbs.

Page of Pentacles Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Learning, experimenting
    ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Cheerful, excited
✨ Unique: This deck looks childish, but there's a lot of depth in the illustrations.

3. Light Seer's — Colourful and inclusive

Like the RWS, this Page is studying her Pentacle closely. But she's also testing it - what happens if I stand on one leg like this? How can I manifest what I want?

Page of Pentacles Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Studying, experimenting
    ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Balance, enjoyment
✨ Unique: Light Seer's is modern, inclusive and gentle.

Reflection:
The Page of Pentacles is ready to start studying, to start creating something real out of nothing. What are you being called to create?

Mar 28 - Would you Rather: Tarot Edition

Let’s play a game. No spreads. No guidebooks. Just choices.

This tarot-flavoured Would You Rather challenge is designed to spark reflection, laughter, and maybe a little symbolic chaos. You can answer in the comments, journal your responses, or use them as creative prompts.

There are no wrong answers - only revealing ones.

๐Ÿƒ The Questions

  • Would you rather read with only the Majors or only the Minors for a full year?

  • Would you rather use a deck you don’t like the artwork of or a deck you love but is falling apart?

  • Would you rather do a reading with no guidebook or only the guidebook (no intuition allowed)?

  • Would you rather read for yourself every day or never be allowed to read for yourself again (only others)?

  • Would you rather have a deck gifted to you by a stranger or create your own deck from scratch?

  • Would you rather pull The Tower every Monday or Ten of Swords every Friday?

  • Would you rather your deck always gave you blunt answers or cryptic riddles?

  • Would you rather bring one deck to a desert island or have unlimited decks you can’t take out of the box?

๐Ÿง  Reader Prompts

  • Which question made you pause the longest?

  • Which answer surprised you?

  • What does your choice say about your reading style?

Mar 27 - Judgement (Images)

Judgement Across Decks ๐ŸŽด✨

I can see clearly now

Judgement is widely regarded as one of the trickier cards in the deck, and the very religious art of the RWS deck can make that even harder. At its core, though, the idea is a simple one; Judgement calls us to face our past, take the lessons we've learned and let go of what doesn't serve us. Easy in theory! Across decks, this idea is represented in a few different ways.

1. Sante Muerte — Joyful in death

The cheerful Sante Muerte deck has kept the coffin symbols of the RWS, but transforms it into something new. The skeleton rising is joyful, welcomed by loved ones rather than awed by divine forces.

Judgement Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: family, taking your place
    ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: celebration, enjoyment
✨ Unique: Like Dรญa de los Muertos, it celebrates death as transition, not loss

2. Kids' Tarot — Bright and gentle

The Kids' Tarot renamed a few cards to make them easier for children to understand. In this deck, Judgement has become Forgiveness; whether it's the child or the phoenix in this image that made the mistake, they've clearly faced up to it and are ready to move forward.

Judgement Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: found family, facing your failures
๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: togetherness, moving forward
✨ Unique: The Kids' Tarot was designed to help children explain complex emotions in a simple way.

3. Dragon Tarot — Dark and detailed

Perched on a high cliff, this dragon sees all and knows all. There’s a sense that nothing escapes its gaze - and nothing goes unaccounted for.

Judgement Vibes:

  • ๐Ÿงช Key themes: Watchfulness
    ๐ŸŽจ Emotional tone: Coldness
✨ Unique: This deck loves hiding tiny details in the artwork - see the scales carved into the rock below the dragon?

Reflection:

At heart, Judgement asks us to face ourselves honestly - not with fear, but with openness.

Some decks make that process feel joyful.
Some make it gentle.
Some remind us it can be uncomfortable.

But the message is the same:
acknowledge what’s been, and step forward changed.

Where is Judgement calling you to be honest with yourself right now?

Mar 26 - Types of Tarot Collectors

There’s no one way to collect tarot decks. Some people have one beloved companion. Others have shelves that rival libraries. Some chase themes. Some chase vibes. Some chase nostalgia.

This post celebrates the many ways people build their tarot collections - and invites you to reflect on your own.

๐Ÿงบ Collector Archetypes

The Minimalist One or two decks. Deep connection. Knows every card like a friend. Often says, “I don’t need more - I just need this one to speak.”

The Magpie Buys everything that sparkles. Loves variety, novelty, and surprise. Decks are art, adventure, and emotional candy.

The Thematic Curator Collects by theme - cats, mythology, pop culture, historical eras. Treats decks like symbolic ensembles or emotional galleries.

The Ritualist Chooses decks based on emotional tone or ritual use. Has a journalling deck, a shadow work deck, a comfort deck, a seasonal deck…

The Archivist Loves rare editions, historical decks, and symbolic evolution. Collects for study, preservation, and reverence.

The Rotator Keeps a small collection but rotates decks regularly. Follows mood, moon, or emotional climate.

๐Ÿง  Reader Prompts

  • Which type of collector are you - or which mix?

  • What was your first deck, and what made you choose it?

  • What’s one deck you love but rarely use?

Mar 25 - Tarot Myth #6 You must use your deck or it will sulk

๐Ÿงญ The Myth

“If you don’t use your deck regularly, it’ll sulk.” “Neglected decks lose their magic.” “They’ll punish you with confusing readings.” “Tarot decks have feelings - and they’re petty.”

๐Ÿ•ต️‍♀️ Where It Came From

  • Personification culture: Many readers build emotional relationships with their decks - beautiful, but not literal.

  • Guilt-based ritual logic: “If I don’t use it, I’m failing.”

  • Sticky-card syndrome: Some decks do get physically clingy after a long nap.

๐Ÿ’ก The Reality

Your deck doesn’t get angry. It doesn’t hold grudges. It doesn’t judge your reading frequency or your emotional bandwidth.

Yes, decks can feel “off” after a long break - but that’s usually about you, not them. And if the cards are literally sticky? That’s just humidity and hand oils. A gentle clean and a good shuffle will sort it out.

๐Ÿงฐ Ritual Reframe

  • If you want to reconnect, try a one-card pull or a “how are we doing?” spread.

  • If your deck feels emotionally distant, it might be reflecting your own hesitation.

  • If it’s physically sticky, wipe it gently and shuffle with care.

  • Tarot decks don’t need constant attention - they need honest connection.

๐Ÿง  Reader Prompts

  • Have you ever felt like your deck was “mad” at you?

  • What helps you reconnect after a break?

  • Any sticky-card stories or rituals you swear by?

✨ Final Thought

Tarot decks don’t get angry. They get dusty. They get sticky. They get patient.

They’re waiting for you - not judging you.
