Oct 10 - full vs mini deck comparison

Tarot decks come in all shapes and sizes nowadays - massive, tiny, even round! You can often get the same deck in different sizes. For this specific comparison I've chosen the Supernatural deck, but there are plenty of other comparison.

The full size deck comes in a two part box, while the mini is in a tin. The LWB is reproduced exactly in the mini, just smaller, but it contains all the same information. The artwork, front and back, is exactly the same in both. However, maybe because I got a first print run of the regular size, some of the coating flaked off a few of the cards. In the mini, the gloss seems to be much better bonded and doesn't flake at all.

In readings, they're very similar, with a sarcastic sense of humour that fans of the show will definitely recognise. I tend to use the regular deck for readings when I have time to sit and analyse, and the mini is perfect to throw in a bag for readings on the go! The tin keeps the cards protected.

Regular sized and minis both have their places in my practise. One of these days I'll get an oversized one and see how that works! What size of deck do you usually go for?
